Collective work

  • Rhizome Dance Collective

Rhizome dance collective was established after our graduation from the Dance Performance BA at SKH in 2021. It consists of Jane Sievänen, Tone Johannessen, Beatriz Pereira, Sonja Aaltonen, Dafne Giannikopoulou, Heta Asikainen, Wilma Seppälä, Marie Mazer, Natalia Drozd, Cilia Herrmann, Alexandra Krzekotowska-do Rego, Sigrid Sjöholm, Taika Rautiainen and Carolina Sendim, all of whom are located in various countries around Europe. Being the generation that studied online through, and graduated in the times of corona, we decided to nourish our bond and create a collective that examines, experiments, and expands on relationality and the possibilities of working together even when we are apart. What a collective is, how it can function, and what it can do are the backdrop upon which we combine practices and discourses mostly concerned with ecology, and relationality.

  • Sympoietic Society

Sympoietic Society is a pan-European collective of artists, performers, designers and curators generating critical dialogue on posthuman ecologies through sympoiesis (making-with). By taking the name Sympoietic Society, we are also friends, allies, and kins to human and more-than-human bodies, endangered ecosystems, and interdependent worlds.

United by our shared interests in posthuman ecologies, cognitive justice, and embodied practices, we established Sympoietic Society to search for new ways to respond to the pressing ecological crisis, to nurture ethics of response-ability towards the diverse beings and bodies beyond humans, to process ecological grief into care.
